Two Trustee (non-executive Director) openings on the Maiden Erlegh Trust Board

Maiden Erlegh Trust seeks two additional Trustees with particular interest and expertise in Primary Education and Legal.

Primary Education Trustee - this role will provide the governance support to leaders and the Local Advisory Board of Great Hollands Primary School to ensure a high quality of provision for our pupils.

Legal Trustee - this role will provide the governance support to leaders and Trust Board, providing legal expertise.

Trustees are both charity trustees and company directors of the academy trust; the role is to hold to account the executive and senior leadership team. The Board of Trustees manages the business of the academy trust and may exercise all the powers of the trust. The Trustees ensure compliance with the Trust’s charitable objects and with company and charity law.

The Trust Board are responsible for maintaining stability during a period of rapid growth and the management of a dynamic structure. The role also includes contributing to financial planning for sustainability and growth, and holding the CEO/CFO to account. Applicants will serve as non-executive directors of the trust board with the opportunity to fulfil the role as Trust Strategic Lead and/or sit on an Interim Transition Board of a special measures school.

Interested parties must have experience working in Primary Education and Legal and be committed to upholding our values and ethos, and adhere to the principles of Ethical Leadership. Governance experience and an understanding of the local community are desirable. Safeguarding children, inclusion and equality underpin all our work and we are ambitious for all our learners and staff.
