Priti Dube is Cover Supervisor at Maiden Erlegh School, where she ensures continuity of learning during teacher absences and helps maintain calm, focused classrooms across the school. Q: What is your role?
A: As a Cover Supervisor at Maiden Erlegh School, I manage classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task, follow lesson plans, and maintain high standards of behaviour in a calm, focused learning environment.

A: I was identified for MET Team Talks by colleagues for my collaborative approach and commitment to supporting students. This work is important to me because it encourages sharing good practice, strengthens teamwork, and helps create a consistent, positive learning environment for all students.

Q: What impact does this work have for you and for students?
A: This work supports staff confidence, creates consistent and calm classrooms for students, and is personally rewarding as it allows me to contribute positively to the school community.

Q: What has helped you deliver this work successfully?
A: A positive, flexible mindset and experience working across different classrooms have helped me. Support from colleagues and school culture have also played a key role in delivering this work effectively.

Q: What advice would you give to colleagues interested in similar work?
A: My advice would be to stay open, be flexible, and work closely with colleagues. Sharing ideas and learning from each other makes the work more effective and rewarding.
