Maiden Erlegh Trust has appointed Karen Stoneham as Head of People & Culture.
Karen brings more than 30 years of HR experience to MET, with a background spanning local government, further education, health and social care, and the independent education sector. Most recently, she spent six years on the senior leadership team at a large all-through girls' school, leading people services and supporting colleagues at every stage of their careers.
In her new role, Karen will work across MET’s schools and central teams to embed strong people practices that support both staff and educational outcomes.
Speaking about her appointment, Karen said: “What has remained constant throughout my career is a passion for education and a genuine belief in the difference that great people practices can make. Schools and Trusts are ultimately about people. When colleagues feel valued, supported and empowered to succeed, they are able to make an even greater impact on the children and young people we serve.”
She added: “I am particularly excited to be joining an organisation whose values resonate so strongly with my own. I believe in encouraging people to Aim High, creating opportunities for individuals and teams to thrive and achieve their potential. I value the importance of Working Together, recognising that the best outcomes come from collaboration, trust and shared purpose.”
We look forward to the positive impact Karen's leadership will bring.
