Art Exhibition showcases work by Great Hollands and Birch Hill pupils
Director of Education Andy Johnson visited South Hill Park Arts Centre to view Healthy Lifestyles, an ambitious new exhibition led by artist-educator Areej Abdi and created in partnership with Great Hollands Primary School and Birch Hill Primary School.
This creative health project brought together pupils, artists and public health professionals to explore food, nature and wellbeing through art. Working with Areej, pupils in Year 3 developed mixed-media pieces using drawing, printmaking and cyanotype techniques to reflect on healthy eating and positive lifestyle habits.
The final exhibition includes:
✅ Cyanotype prints capturing the natural beauty of fruits and vegetables
✅ Artwork inspired by a range of contemporary artists
✅ Healthy Lifestyle Superhero characters designed by the pupils themselves
The exhibition runs until 13 July 2025 at South Hill Park’s Mansion Galleries, with a public tour scheduled across Bracknell from September 2025. The project is a collaboration between South Hill Park Arts Centre, NHS Public Health and Bracknell Forest Borough Council.
